Anyone noticing that the ProRes presets from Premiere/ Media Encoder have a much lower bitrate relative to their setting that can not be changed?
For example ProRes 422 in my BlackMagic Cinema camera runs 150 mbits/sec (@ 1920 30p)
FCP output between 70 mbits/sec – 200 mbits/sec depending on ProRes LT – ProRes HQ
but…
When I output Premiere CC 2018 sequences using the ProRes 422 or 422HQ codecs the highest I can get the bit rate is 20 mbits/sec
I am confirming this through the QT7 Movie Inspector
15-20 mbit/sec doesn’t seem right for ProRes, even if it was defaulting to ProRes LT for some reason, which it is not, according to the file inspector. Although the file is tagged as ProRes I’m wondering what I’m getting with these Adobe ProRes Presets.
