Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for your help He’s on a PC. I gave him a Pro Res file and that worked fine for him on his Avid.
Now my only question is, how can I save these files from the Ki Pro using my Macbook Pro on a drive for him to use? I’m saving them to WD passport drives. But if I format these drives as Mac OS extended, will his PC see the drive? I’m not used to dealing with anyone using PCs. Do you know of a good solution here?

Max, you’re getting some good comments here. Of course it’s important to know WHAT the problem is. Have you had a conversation with the client? Is it your editing, or the footage that’s the problem? If it’s that they found someone cheaper, or a friend to edit the footage, give them a price that you can live with to give them the footage. Then if you wish, don’t work for them again.

No matter what, always be professional. It doesn’t matter that your client may not be acting in a professional manner. YOU need to be the professional in this scenario. Good Luck.

Why was the client unhappy? Is there anything you can do to correct the problem? I would try ever angle you have to make this work with the client, if not then ask for whatever payment you feel is fair for the footage and your other expenses. Always try your best to be professional. Word of mouth goes a long way!

Jack, It’s best to have your graphics resting on an even scan line. Go into your motion and make sure that you X and Y are even numbers. Also avoid DV codecs for better graphics

Looks like you could use some color correction on your video. Some of your levels may be too hot. Lowering the black level will give your image more detail. Lowering the whites and mid levels will also help.

I’m certainly not a “prima donna” as a matter of fact when I was bringing crews to work overnight, as an in-house director, for a retail establishment I paid the crew more. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with that. That’s why I asked. So let’s quit adding labels to people. Shall we?

Also we’ve all had horror stories of Murphy’s law situations when shooting overnight. Thanks for your help though.
