Thanks Michael, but I want to confirm that I can shoot PAL on a camera purchased here in the US. I’m sure all cameras purchased in the UK shoot PAL. Why wouldn’t it shoot progressive?

Can anyone else confirm this for the EX1? Can I monitor this on a NTSC monitor? Is there any issue with light flickering?

Thanks Shane, But how was that done? Did you stretch the image to fit sideways? Can you tell me what steps to take. Consider it’s coming off a DVD 16X9 image

Thanks Shane, But how was that done? Did you stretch the image to fit sideways? and how did you avoid the top and bottom being cut off?

Steve and Aaron. Even a small business run out of their home has expenses. There’s insurance, Marketing expenses, Website expenses, advertising, networking, relationship building, office equipment, etc. All that adds to the bottom line.

It’s really not your business what your client charges their client. But as others have said, perhaps it’s time to re-evaluate your own rates.

I agree with Steve. You should CALL, not email, Agency A and let them know that you were contacted by Agency B, but since Agency A is your client, I would do everything in my power to keep them happy and trusting you.

  • Not to sound negative, but are you really qualified to do this job? I realize you’re out of work and this is a good opportunity, but it doesn’t sound like you’re ready to step into this role as a contractor.

Just because someone loves gourmet food and owns a gourmet oven, doesn’t make them a gourmet cook. Would you want someone cooking a meal for your boss if they ate gourmet food and owned an oven? Basically you have experience with audio work, but have not shot nor edited video. I can only imagine how this may turn out.

This company may be talking low quality (home-made look) but I bet they won’t be happy with that approach. As Mark said, YouTube videos have grown in regard to production value. These videos will represent the company. A poorly produced and shot video will leave a poor impression about the company on the customers.

Kudos to you for stepping out of your comfort zone to try something new. But maybe you should hire a one-man band for the first one, so you can learn the ropes. Perhaps you should be the assistant for that one.

Thanks for the responses! Does anybody have an answer about the Aja LHe?

Forr FCP 7 I use an aja LHe card. That’s connected to a monitor via SDI out of the Aja. I hear FCP X is not supported by the AJA LHe. Would I need to buy a new card? Would FCP 7 be supported by that as well?

Hi Stephen, thanks for the reply. I actually do have your Motion Training DVD. As I said before, I have done pretty much what you said, and it’s saved in my FCP Application Support motion Templates folder.

What I’d like to have is just to open Motion 4 and see that template in Motion without having to open FCP.

    How can I do that?
