My plugin only works from 60i, not 30p.
Given it’s in flash – can you not change the timebase in there and re-render? It would probably screw thing up I’m sure….. Why the sudden change to 24p? Frame rate is pretty intamate with animation and something usually decided on before a project begins, not when it’s complete.

FCP never seems to want to add real 3:2 pulldown unless you’re going out to tape. So, solutions are to get the 24p back to tape, with FCP adding 3:2 in real time, and then recapturing or, I made a handy plugin as part of the conversion package: https://www.nattress.com/Products/standardsconversion/GFilmConvert.htm which will add real 3:2 pulldown as a timeline render process.

Nope, no 3:2 pulldown if you’ve done it in a 24p timeline.
Due to how FCP works, best thing to do is to convert whole movies, rather than indivisual clips.

Sounds like you want to go to 25p progressive. Best way I know to do this is to use my converter to go from 60i to 24p, then take that video to cinema tools, use “conform” to speed it from 24p to 25p, and that looks very good. My converter for NTSC to PAL goes to interlaced PAL which I doubt it what you want.

Well, the new timeline allows you to set prores as the rendering codec. If your drive is up to is, and it should be, then that’s probably the most economic way to go.

Edit native, don’t recapture (why?) and render to a prores timeline. What could be simpler?
