    Thanks again Brian,

Still not sure about the formulae but basically if I use say 4,000 pixels on the longest side this should be better?

Also I meant using Premiere and not Encore to export the movie to DVD.

    Cheers Brian,

    Best wishes

    Hello Brian,

Thank you for your help again and your patience.

    I can’t quite get the

    1080 X 1.777 = 1920

    1920 X .5625 = 1080

but I understand the max size you suggest to import as this would make things easier. I appreciate your advice also about the ‘ease’ I didn’t realise you could do this.

Also Brian, can I export to DVD by Premiere only to view on TV?

Thank you, I really appreciate your time.

    Best wishes

    Hello Brian,

    Thank you so much.

I’m finding it a little difficult to understand, it’s me though, not you!

I’m not too sure what you mean about the ratios. I might not have explained myself in my origional post. The images I imported were huge so when I went to say scale and move around in a particular image it was difficult so I thought I might be importing them as they were instead of a more suitable size.

Also the ‘Scale to frame size’ you mentioned was also in the tutorial I followed but they said not to use it if you were going to say ‘pan’ around or zoom in the image as it would already be at 100% and zooming would look fuzzy!

Can I export the finnished file to DVD by Premiere alone? I realise that Encore is for having a nice interface on the DVD at start up but just for now I thought I would try just experimenting on to see if I could get it to play on TV.

    Thanks and Thanks again,

    Best wishes
    Graeme
