It’s funny, I’m in the exact same position. I’m making a 3D underground hallway that a camera is traveling through, and need C-shaped corners.

Thanks for posting this, and thanks for the solution Dave.

  • I imagine these were drawn out, then a stroke was applied to them, and the ending value of the stroke changed to make the drawing look animated.

I would certainly not even consider a shot that would endanger anyone. We will be shooting it just driving normally down a street, but adding sound effects / different angles to make it look neat. any ideas for 3D stuff?

Thanks for the concerns guys, they were taken very seriously.

Are you on Vista? If so,
    1) Access cmd: Click on the Start Pearl > type cmd in the Search Bar > and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter (this allows you to run cmd in administrative mode)

    2) Type BCDEdit /set PAE forceenable

Are you giving AE access to all your ram? Try bringing the accessible amount of ram up to 95%, and make sure you’re not running anything else besides AE.

It looks ‘decent.’ I applied the effect to the solid and masked the edges so it looks circular. If I speed up the flash you can’t tell how poorly its done, so I think that’s what I’ll do,

    Hey,
Go to Composition > Preview > Preview with Audio

Then go to your time controls box, and press the button on the far right of the play controls (the RAM preview button), and let it render out, then play it, and you will hear sound : )

Extremely helpful tutorial. Coincides perfectly with a project I’m working on. Thanks a ton Julian.
