    Thanks Miguel,

What I’m looking for is as your example 2… Disney.

I don’t need a bouncing ball, and yes, just need the text to remain on the screen while the lyrics are being sung.

The movie is of an entertainer playing the piano and singing, 2 camera angles. A single colour and treatment of the text would work fine.

I hope this helps clarify my needs.

  • no worries Mike. I’ll try again today in case it was an isolated incident.

  • Mike,
Thanks for the handy link. i’ll definitely watch those.

How do I finalize the disc? I didn’t see this option in DVDA.

  • Thanks Mike,

The help which comes with DVDA isn’t that great. Unless there is a better document, all I have here is the Windows type help file, under help.

Also, I just tried your tip about burning to a dvd-rw to test. My dvd player refuses to play as it seems to just seek.
Is there something special I must do to burn to a rewritable DVD for testing purposes?

  • That’s fantastic Mike! Thanks! this is very helpful indeed.

I don’t quite understand the difference between a “button” and a “link”.

Well done Stephen! It doesn’t sound bad at all 🙂

Just tried it on the master track as you mentioned. I love this compressor with the -.6 db limiter!

Is it simply a limiter or does it actually boost low volume audio as well?
and… how does it differ from Wave Hammer?

    Very interesting Stephen. Thanks.

Which compression fx do you use and set to -6db?
And… since you’re setting it to -6db, this means that the peak will be at -6db and not 0db like Mike and I thought. Correct?

    Beautiful!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge Mike.
I’ll definitely follow this recipe. I love recipes!

We’re due for breakfast again. Let me know when you’re down these necks of the woods again. I’ll do the same at my end. 🙂

    Thanks Stephen,

Is this what you use when you create DVDs?

Also, I don’t quite understand the numbers. I understand I need to stay close to 0db. Shouldn’t we say “normalize at 0db?” or “normalize at -3db?”

why use “-27db” for this normalization?
