I don’t think it’s my system (intel dual proc. 2.60 ghz – 2 gigs ram – 6 raid drives – scsi system drive – XP pro) as the same clips do work perfectly INSIDE Premiere. They just don’t work right with windows media player. Do I need to upgrade media player to play HDV files? I also tried “DVD x Player 4” with the same odd result.

Any idea?

I am actually considering the sony HC3E which seems rather handy and with very good performance. The canon one is a good one.. but strange thing .. if I read well.. you can’t plug in an external mic!

As for my PC, I think it has enough muscles to stand a fair fight against HD ;-).

That is exactly what I was thinking.. I just have some concerns regarding hd -> sd conversion.. i’ve read there are some issues with it..

Can I edit with PP2 in HDV and export a standard avi file to be used with Encore and build a regular DVD without major issues ?

Hi,

I am trying to install the imaginate’s ppro plugin with no success. Does it work on 1.5?

I followed the install procedures (a. install imaginate – b. reboot – c. install quick fix – d. reboot) but I still don’t see any canopus thing in my p. 1.5?

Any idea?
