    You can shoot 25 frames per second with different shutter speeds. As I have understood,the shutter speed, for “film” look, is recommended to be (inverse) double to the frame rate. Hence for 25p you would prefer a shutter speed of 1/50 second (you can read a lot about this at least in the DSLR/video blogs and books).

    I own the Sony a77 DSLR where I can control that, but also the CX-760e, where I cannot (at least not fully).

    Now I am thinking of the EA50. Does anybody know if I can set manually the shutter speed and the camera would control the gain respectively in order to get correct exposure?
