Just found this thread about Blu-ray disc burning on Adobe Encore. I have CS3 and thinking of upgrading to the CS5 Production Premium package. I’ve started getting more inquiries on delivering wedding videos via Blu-ray and seems like Encore is on top of this task/feature. Also good to know about the BD player firmware updates issue.

Noah has a valid point there. DIY rigs just scream unprofessional. Just like how cellphone cameras can take nice photos now, imagine if you got hired as a photographer at a wedding and used your cellphone camera, lol!

the 7d is exactly what I’m eyeing of the Canon lot, good for video? can get that film like grain/feel? I’ll check out your 7d blog, too.

at least Nikon is announcing something new video features to its line of digital cameras. I can only hope (and pray) that they upgrade the serious DLSR line with serious video features soon. I’m ready for my next purchase of a Nikon DSLR body.

I will try to make this simple explanation:

MacPro has an optical audio IN/OUT

get an TOSLINK optical cable like this https://bit.ly/2tSzE3

connect one end to the MacPro’s optical audio IN to the 828’s optical audio OUT

On your DAW (audio editing software) you must choose the optical input as the source

This can also be set in System Preferences so that even Garageband will automatically use this as the connection for inputs.
