Pro Res comes from the .mov that I import from the file. Maybe that’s why it’s changing the scale.

I figured out the widescreen part. Still curious about the SCALE.

Thanks. I worked out most of it. I’m editing a movie and I have a lot of footage, so working out kinks I never had before is a pain. But, it’s coming along.

    Thanks again.

I constantly update my Quicktime, is that a problem?

The video plays fine in 4.5. It just doesn’t import the sound. It’s strange.

Thanks. Here’s what my DP sent me.

The original files were from the “P2 Card” from the camera. I used FCP7 Log and Transfer function to convert them into .mov files. the Codec is
    DVCPRO HD 720p60

Thanks, and that article kicks some butt. I don’t have those stars in my flick. But, I do have a hell of a story.

    THANK YOU!

I know I have to upgrade, and I eventually will. But, getting this movie shot is going to be painful (monetarily) enough.

I do think he’s going to shoot HD, which is worrisome. Not just because of my FCP set up. But, also make-up wise. The actors are doing their own make-up and HD can easily make you look like a freak. I have to speak to the DP and see if he can switch his cameras over to SD. While it might not be as politically correct as HD in this age, it’ll save a lot of headaches later.

I’m not sure. How would I tell?

I’m just curious. FCP works, but not the way it used to. If it wasn’t compatible, wouldn’t it not work at all?

I LOVE WALL-E. I’ll have to check that out. I rarely watch the special features.

I’m not going to over light, and I’m definitely not going to under light. This time, I’m pushing more responsibility onto the DP. We will be joined at the hip.

Thank you everyone for the assistance.

I tried Walt’s 350 highlights and that looks very good, and Scott’s is very good also. And I’m sure it’s just me, but I really like the darkness of mine. I am probably just nuts. So, it’s staying the way it is, unless I ever get into adding depth through masking. But, the chances of that are slim.

But, at least I know what I have to do with the next movie. Light the hell out of it, and darken it later. Though the next movie isn’t a dark subject like this was.

    Again, thanks for the posts.

I wish I would have known about this site before I shot.
