Hi,
I own the physical CS6 Production Premium software and I have been thinking about joining the Creative Cloud subscription. The big thing that annoys me with Creative Cloud is that some new updates to Production Premium software are not available to the physical software owners. I believe Photoshop has a number of new updates that are only available to Creative Cloud members. This just isn’t right! As physical owners of this software and having paid for the software we should be entitled to the updates to these programs! Cmon Adobe, lets be fair!!!

Hi Kevin,
I see where the Encore CS6 Code 3 error failed to write disc has been an issue for more than six months now. I have wasted a dozen expensive bluray discs trying to burn video from Encore. I finally had to purchase Nero to successfully burn an image file created from Encore CS6. After paying big bucks for the Adobe CS6 Production Premium software, I should think the Encore program should be able to work as advertised.
When can Adobe customers expect a “FIX” for this bluray burning issue? Did Adobe engineers even test Encore for any problems prior to release?
Please let the loyal Adobe customers know where Adobe is on fixing this issue.
Thanks,
George

Daniel,
I apologize for all the questions and confusion, but. . .
Looking at Media Encoder thru Premiere Pro I do not see a 1920X1080i60 format under H.264 BluRay nor MPEG2 BluRay. Under the H.264 presets it indicates several one being 720p 23.976, 50, and 59.94.
The H.264 format does have a 720P 29.97 preset and 1080i and p at 29.97. Can’t I use the 720P, 29.97 preset to burn to bluray disc and play on BluRay player?
Can you please explain further?
Thanks, George

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the info. I guess I can export from Premiere Pro CS6 in Media Encoder tothe 1920X1080 setting with i60 frame rate then import to Encore for BluRay burn. Since the original video files are at 1280X720 at 29.97 frame rate, will there be any distortions to the video going to the larger size and frame rate?
Thanks for your help, Daniel.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for the quick response. I am on a PC with Windows 7, 64 bit. I output the file in AE at the 1280X720 format through the AE render que’s presets. It doesn’t mention a “codec”. When I hit the “format options” in the render que it indicates “none” for codec.
My videos require an alpha channel, so the Output Module indicates “custom avi”.
I place my rendered videos into Premiere Pro CS6 and have about an hour long video. Yes, the individual files sizes are huge compared to my normal DVD file sizes. So I should encode out of Premiere for Encore DVD at the 720P size for BluRay?
Just as info, could I set encoding in Media Encoder to a different frame rate such as 23.976 or 24 at different resolution? Would a 23.976 frame rate encode faster than a 29.97?
Sorry for all the questions, but I’ve never dealt with BluRay discs before and I guess I need to catch up with the newer formats.
Thanks for all you help, Jeff. Have a great day.

May 16, 2012 at 9:10 pm in reply to: CS5 upgraded to CS5.5, free CS6 Production PremiumHas anyone tried to get the free upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 Production Premium as yet? I have been trying but no luck getting CS6 as yet. Finally had an email from Adobe with a download link and when I went to that link and the “download” button, screen came back with no downloads available.
What’s up?

I love this effect you’ve put together. I do photo-videos for family and freinds and I was hoping you could send me a copy of this AEP so I could use it on some photos and see how it is put together.
My email is gdefrates@aol.com.
Thanks, David.

December 24, 2011 at 4:27 pm in reply to: 3d box / cube – what are the best plugins for after effects?Hi Roland,
I purchased your Cube WipeFX transition. I really like the program, but I’m having some problems manipulating the photos the way I want them to display. The transition of the six faces is slightly less than 9 seconds. And all I am seeing are primarily the front, left, and back faces for perhaps 1 to 3 seconds. What I want to do is have each of the photos (cube sides) to stay on screen for about 5 seconds with a one to one and a half second transition to the next photo. How do I extend the composition to make this work?
I know I will have more questions as I dig deeper into this program, but this is my most pressing issue for now.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Walter,
I checked this plug-in out and it looks like this is by far the best way to go. Thanks for the tip.
