    I use both regularly, so here is another $.02 worth….They BOTH can do a great job, but I personally feel that FCP offers a few more features; such as composite modes (that work) directly from the timeline. I also agree that you should work with what you are comfortable with.

    I have had this same problem…but never missed that many…I am using a DSR11 to capture from…I would like to hear any known “cures” to this also

    Thanks for the reply..at least I’m not the only one with this odd problem, but export to tape doesn’t help in my case. It is very frustrating indeed.

    Thanks for the replies! I will try the cable replacement and will check for anything not seated properly…it does not happen at the same place on the timeline and it does not happen at any predictable interval ..I double checked for timeline “gaps” first thing …If these actions do not cure it, I will go for the un/re-install …there is no anti-virus on this machine(it is not connected to internet) …thanks again, George
