Thanks for the advice and info guys. And Im pretty sure you are right.

My market is for mid to hardcore gamers. We have alot of game culture (and some movie) references in it. I envision it along the same vein as “Spaced”. We also have to strong female leads.

I know there is a market for the show. Iv even considered doing a donations button for it. Along the same model as

  • Ya I kindov figured that it would be tough for the first one. I was hopeing that after they (sponsor) saw the pilot and I had a agreement with a high trafic intenet video distributor who caters to the specific market) it would help.

I was going to release the Pilot and use the numbers also, but I wanted to give the sponsor the ability to place products. Thats one reason why I havnt released it yet. But if I get nowhere I will, for the #’s.

  • I know who my market is and we are skipping the Broadcast market (TV cable) It will be fully online with a web page to support. The web page will have room for sponsor ads.

Im assuming in my propasal I will generate a rate sheet. With different levels. Example… Product placement (with a guarenteed onscreen time) , Webpage ad space, Sponsor page.

Im going to try to alien myself with a established online video distributor (ign.com, gamespot.com, gametrailers.com, pwnordie.com) part of making the videos exclusive to thier site would be getting “metrics” ahead of time for a proposal to sponsors. And might lend itself to credibility.

Im realistic enough to know I wont make money on the first season, but I would like to @ least feed my “differed payment” crew and cast during the shoot. Ha.

If anyone can give advice or info on how to generate a product placment and web page ads proposal I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for the feedback. I have never approached a potential sponsor before. I assume I will have to go to them with a porfolio and a possible working concept. Then work out details of how to insert them into the videos. I can see them wanting to see the videos before I post them, which could delay the posting for days or longer. Unless they have a rep onsite that can sign off.
