May it never happen. Vista is a mess. I am hearing many problems. Higher end workstations sell with XP as an option insteaod of Vista because Vista deemed undesireable by many. XP solid today.

Avid relies not much on APIs that they have to patch deep in program core every time. This is why updates are slow after service packs, and very slow after OS version changes. Rely on Avid’s recommended set up for XP. You benefit, or the Vista big footprint will take memory away you could use. Avid will comply eventually, but I will stay with XP as long as possible. Vista offers little benefit for anything except mild security.
