Thanks David! you’re a star!
the problem was obviously there!
There’s only one more thing that I need to understand please:
The sequence I was working with before was:
1920×1080
aspect ratio: square
compressor: hdv 1080p 25
while my clips are:
1440×1080
aspect ratio: HD(1440×1080)
compressor: iCodec
When I change the sequence settings to match my clips settings it does solve the “echo”/de-interlacing problem but for some reason the image is now stretched.
If I create a new project/sequence with the right settings and drag the initial sequence, it asks me if I want to match the sequence settings with the item settings and if I say no it just matches it to the sequence settings and all looks fine. Though it’s one merged sequence which I can’t edit (unless double click and go back to the previous one); instead if I copy all the edited clips on the initial sequence to paste them to the new correct sequence it just place them and they look stretched.(hope I’m making sense!)
Is there a way to fix this, without me starting all over again and rebuild the sequence from the original unedited clips?
Thanks
Gennaro
