Sorry took a while to respond, didnt get a notification for some reason.

just saw your CatDV vid on Youtube! 🙂

I met with the editshare guys and had a demo. The system looks pretty solid and has an easy to use interface with some great features like project sharing.

CatDV though seems to be really flexible and can handle all media. editshare if i’m not wrong can manage only video at this point.

Playback on a Deck in Ffwd i could see the footage. havent tried the Cam yet.

Sony got back to me and have suggested i try a local certified sony repair shop.

got in touch with them, They say they will realign the head of the camera or deck till the image shows.. and then dump the footage .. and then realign back to it’s original position!!!

Dont know what to do now.. sounds a little Hokey!

Sorry.. just to add.. was shooting in PAL in the HDV format and was using the HDV Metal tapes.

Thanks Bill!! did give it a shot with an adjustment layer and some CC, the Replace colour is worth a shot too! 🙂

I’m sure all of you are right and a reshoot is the best option.

🙂 Thanks Michael, Dave and Dave.. I agree.. Bad bad BAD planning and Direction!! I doubt he’s going to pay ‘Dearly’, he wanted me to churn it out in 3 days!! Needless to say …doesnt have a clue!

Did give it a shot with an adjustment layer and some CC on it.. doesnt look too good..

So going to wear the best diplomatic hat i have and lay out to him.
