Hi Steve, it does but if you get drop the absolute frame counter on the video preview pane and set cursor to count from 1, it follows the instruction for some reason but not if you drop the absolute frame counter (from the media fx library) directly on the timeline.

adding or removing frames from 350 scenes would be tedious, this is a much a more intuitive solution 🙂 thanks anyway though.

already exporting to image sequence. the problem is when i do so and if a scene has 35 frames, Vegas Frame Counter reads it as 34 because the counter begins at 0 frames, although the sequence begins at 1.

while the blank frame solution works its counter intuitive. the solution i figured out is that starting the frame counter from 1 and this is important to drop the frame counter on the video preview pane and NOT on the timeline or track.

for whatever weird reason it works when done that way.

so thats the solution for now.

Hi. Apple Pro Res 422 is what we have worked with, the 24FPS was rendered using the same.

The tech specs are as follows.

“Only MXF files encoded in IMX (SD/625) or XDCAM HD 422 (HD/1080) will be accepted. File must have AFD codes (based on ETSI TS 101 154 V1.7.1 Annex B, ATSC A/53 Part 4 and SMPTE 2016-1-2007) ; bit rate at 50 Mbps; recording frame rate at 50i. Files should be housed in iVDR cartridge.”

The film we made was meant for cinema broadcast and at 24 FPS. We rendered a QuickTime and then through the exporter created an XDCAM file wrapped in MXF.

I suppose i might have gotten the order wrong about conforming but the video was conformed from 24fps to 25fps.

does any of this help at all in understanding what may have gone wrong?

    thanks for responding.

hey, i had the same problem. instead of using the cursor option to adjust the ramp details, you can digitally plug them in to get the effect you need.
