Exactly, it’s really strange and it’s killing me. I’ve re-installed the BMD drivers (haven’t tried the Kona yet) but it’s really odd. Again, files rendered from AE drop into the timeline and play, no rendering required. Export that same timeline using Current Settings, import the exported clip and it needs to be rendered. It’s making me crazy.
Import an animation file, FCP renders the timeline, export THAT and re-import and no render needed.

interesting. so it just comes in as a piece of footage. If you have multiple layers, etc. you don’t have access to them. OK, thanks for the help.
