Yes I knew this was likely the case, was just holding out hope. Just in the interest of testing things out can you recommend a good noise recognition software? Or is there something in Final Cut Studio that will do the job?

Well first off all of a sudden it’s working fine again and I literally did nothing. This worries the hell out of me because I hate not knowing what caused it, knowing it could pop up again tomorrow when I’m on a job.
You could be right but as I said I was literally playing with the same footage I was using the other day, and the other day it went in and out fine. In fact it came in fine today as well, it was just when I printed to top that it fell to pieces.
Is there anything else that could cause this?

I trashed the preferences and it hasn’t fixed the problem. 🙁
I think it’s something really simple but I don’t know what it is.

The second option sounds more appealing having tried the first and it doesn’t really add much to it.
I was going to try the second option but I can’t see a 3D Stroke in the effects toolbox? Do you mean making a standard stroke effect a 3D layer? If so how to I manipulate only sections of it?

Thanks for the response Steve, I’m going to give those a go now. How would I keep the drop shadow a consistent size but the matte/stroke different?
