apply your wiggle expression to the anchor point position. or

    gaussRandom(//min//[x,y,z], //max//[x,y,z])//this will return a mostly median position//

    AND

    to the object layer:

You can add “Effect” “Expression Control” “Slider Control” and key frame it to adjust the amount and/or turn expression off and on.

don’t know if this is much help.

  • dan,

What I’m trying to do is generate an angle of movement in 2d space. if an object is at (0,0) and then moves to (10,10) I’m trying to return a value of the direction of movement. This I’ll attach to the variable (degrees) in the “Directional blur” effect. This I’m hoping will mimic the natural “Smearing” of a camera shake. Then I’ll attach the “length of movement” to the amount of blur in “directional blur” effect. Does that make more sense?

I’m moving project folders (which contain Final Cup Pro Files, Video .mov, After effects files, Live Type Files, MicroSoft (Labels, Scripts), DVD Studio Pro Files & Renders, any and all other files which you would normally see in commercial production) to be backed up. I’m using the finder to move the files.

ERROR MESSAGE: Error -1309 and stops coping the files at that point.

MY COMPUTER: Mac Dual 2.7 GHz Power PC G5. OS X 10.4.3.

The Firewire Drives are the unknown. Generic Firewire drives that have served here as shuttles for information that would take too long over the network. (NOTE: This same error occures when I try to use the network to transport files directly to the computer that does the backups. An older Windows box that serves as a “server”)

The Drive is plugged directly to the front of my G5.

I haven’t really tried to trouble shoot as of yet, B/C It works fine as long as the project folders are small???

I’ve been checking the Apple Disscussions “Soundtrack Pro” Section and have found a few posts that are similar, if not identical, problems. I can, as you said “Save As” but the problem is that the IN POINT and OUT POINT are not saved…so if I’m tweeking a few seconds of audio from a larger section, when I reimport it I have to spend tons of “CLIENT” time to reconnect sync…I sure you see the problems with that, especially since, it is touted to work seamless… Thanks for your imput, I do really appriciate it. Hopefully a solution will either be made clear or APPLE will update to fix the problem if one does acutally exist.

Nope. Didn’t work. It seems to only do this is RSS feeds? Here’s an example of text as “seen” by safari…

“Bosic oudia editars ore like vocuun cleomers: you meed then, put yau roerly”

if i copy and paste the above text to a text document and conver to basic text this is what appears

Basic audio editors are like vacuum cleaners: you need them, but you rarely
