Thanks, Jack, for the advice. Under the file, it says the audio is: 44,100 Hz, 16 bit, Stereo, 01:01:54;13, Uncompressed. Since it has this information, I don’t know if the codec/plug-in parts of your advice apply. I think my copy of Vegas is legit. I have had it a while, and don’t remember where I bought it. It says it is version 7.0d. I can try reinstalling it from the box, but it has always worked fine before. I can try capturing with the audio compressed, to see if that makes a difference. I can also install the software that came with the camera, but it says I don’t need it for Windows. I will try these things and get back to the forum with the results.
