    Thank you for the reply and suggestions. I did find the problem, it was on the 1394 connection. There was a piece of plastic blocking the end from making a complete connection on the camera. Once I removed that things looked good and the video once rendered to DVD looked great (Like it is supposed to)Thanks again to all for the help

    I tried both options but the video just appears washed out and dark. I can use Video FX and correct it, but I can’t figure out why it looks so great on the camera LCD and so bad on the Laptop LCD. Other video’s like those on you tube, or others look fine. I tried 3 different firewire (Cheap, Med and expensive) and they don’t change the look. In Video FX I have to add contrast and brightness. I have sent the video to other computers and I get the same wash out look.
