    Manfrotto’s Magic Arm holds only 6 pounds of weight, but could I use a Manfrotto/Bogen Superclamp? How could I screw the camera baseplate onto the superclamp? What screw/plate would I need for that?

    Thanks Brian, unfortunately neither would work for me. The bit that I’m missing is something that can be screwed to the back of the camera, angled and then screwed into a vertical bar hanging from the ceiling. This probably exists as an accessory of some kind.

    Mirror shooting is not too good for me, with hot steam coming up it’s bound to catch some, and I’d rather hang the camera itself above.
    But thanks a lot for your advice anyway!
