what version are you using, and what format are you exporting to? Just tried it with the lastest version of Suite and with a QuickTime by ref export, and it did work as expected

13.0.5 should run with the Kona 6.0.3 drivers on OSX 10.5.8. Try reinstalling them (the right ones for your card). Does the Aja Control Panel recognize the board? If yes, try uninstalling and reinstalling V13.0.5

Usually this does not switch automatically. But I think I remembered once that it changed on one of our systems without a good reason.
Anyway, usually you should be able to see if it is correct by the color bar under the TC field in the Record viewer. If it is green then it is full quality, and if it is red than you are using the reduced quality. -

tested your footage on a Kona 3 and on a LHe, and it plays back on both systems correctly as 1080i. It looks perfect on our HD-CRT Sony displays.
Now of course the good question is if there is a difference with the Kona LHi, which we currently don´t have in the office. Maybe Wick or Matthew can confirm if this works on the LHi also… -
You definitely should check your footage on an interlaced monitor, like a CRT display or a hi-end LCD like the FSI displays, to see what really is going on there. Or you could post a short clip somewhere, and I could have a look at it on our CRT display. I am not really sure what the Sony LCDs are doing to interlaced footage. Problem is, that even if the footage looks “better” in FCP it does not mean that it is correct as long as you don´t really know what your display is doing to your signal. It really right now is a mess with “cheap” displays (or with all displays that don´t show interlaced footage correctly) combined with interlaced footage.

If these are media files, then you need the Media 100 codec. You can download it from media100.com

In one of the latest releases, I think in Media 100 Suite V1.0, the SDI 2 in on the Kona3 has been enabled. But maybe there still is an issue with it in batch reacquire.

can you acquire via the “acquire” mode (e.g. in non-batch-acquire)? Trying to find out if there is a general problem with your setup and configuration, or if it is only related to batch acquire.

As far as I know there is no keyboard shortcut for this. But it would be a nice feature…

How did you do the uninstall? Via the Media 100 installer/uninstaller? Or by just deleting the Media 100 folder?
You can look if your Media 100 files are deleted correctly. Go into YourHardDrive->Library->QuickTime and look for files named Media 100 there.
Then go to YourHardDrive->System->Library->Extensions, and to YourHardDrive->System->Library->Frameworks. There should be no Media 100 files left there. If there are, delete them and restart your Computer.
Anyway, not really sure if this will change anything, since Media 100 and FCP should work correctly on the same system. But maybe there is something that conflicts with 10.4.11
