Hmmm, what happens if you copy one of the files onto your local harddrive? One problem could be that your windows server does not properly keep track of the resource forks of the files (the concept of data-forks and resource-forks for files is unknown to Windows). This could result in unusable files.

This should work. In Media 100 on your Intel Mac, can you select the “Media 100 i” codec in the Media settings dialog? If you open your exported file in QuickTime player, what does happen? Is it only white, or does it give an error message? If you look into the clip format for the video track (Command-J), what codec is listed there? Can you post a (zipped) file somewhere so that I can take a look at it?

You probably should update to Suite 1.6.3, but as far as I can tell there are no issues with 10.6.5. At least for me this combination is working fine.

You should be able to connect S/Pdif to the AES/EBU connectors, since S/PDif is a subset of the AES signal. Usually the AES/EBU XLR input should accept the incoming signal.

The P6000 cards do not fit into a G5; there is an issue with power requirements of the P6000 cards that are not supported by the PCI-X slots in G5 systems. There are PCI expansion chassis that allow PCI-X G5s to connect to a P6000 card, though. We have some of them here as spare parts, so in case you want one I guess we could find a way to make that happen. You can contact me off list in case you are interested. You just need to make sure that you have a PCI-X G5 (and not a PCI Express G5, which were the latest generation of G5s). The speed improvement is great compared to a G4, though.

Does all of your video show only a green screen? Does the video show up correctly in the viewer window on the computer screen? Have you checked your cables? Did you run the P6000 hardware test?

Via FireWire? Are your FireWire input settings in Media 100 and output settings on the camera correct?

What audio output hardware are you using? I haven´t heard about this problem before… Are you maybe using a sample rate other than 48kHz?

The XDCam import is a 2 step process. First the MXFs from the disc are moved over to the HD and rewrapped into Quicktime XDCam files; then these are imported into Media 100 into the selected codec (in HD). When using the “Import XDCam” command from within Media 100, these 2 steps are done automatically in one pass. But what you could do is to “manually” move the files with the XDcam Transfer software to your HD (turning off the pref setting in the XDCam Transfer software to open them automatically in Media 100), and then to import them into Media 100 via the Media 100 file import, forcing them to import into your selected codec and format with the checkbox at the bottom of the import dialog box. This way you eliminate the step of importing the files into Media 100 in HD and then having to downconvert them. And, you can later delete the XDCam .mov files, at least as long as you don´t need them anymore (you can do that anyway, regardless if you did the “manual” import or the regular XDCam transfer import).
