I use Transcent Class 10 SD cards. Clips should be 30-60 seconds long I’m guessing from the size. PC.

    Cheers

    Thanks Steve.

Nothing has worked so far unfortunately. Will update if I have a breakthrough so that others in the same position can benefit.

I get different messages from different media players.

WMP says it encountered a problem. Quicktime says this is not a file it understands and so on.

I also think the sd card failed. It is a good SD card and meets the recommendations needed to shoot 1080 on the D7000 so I’m not sure.

The thing is that the files are large so I know there’s information there, I wonder if it’s possible recover/salvage anything from it.

    My experience:

I focused too much on making good videos and not enough on making money/marketing etc.

As a result I have postponed my progressed in the field and haven’t made much money.

People don’t necessarily appreciate good production. a confident tone, professional LOOKING equipment, good service and great marketing are all more important that actually making good videos, in my opinion – at least initially anyways.

    good luck

shooting at 30fps will give you a lot more freedom when editing.

I agree with above poster. unless you’re planning for your video to be seen on theater, go 720/60fps, you won’t regret it.

  • it’s like night and day. it’ll take some adjusting. and A LOT of spending (lenses, sound gear, rig to get it stable) but it’ll be worth it in the end.

it won’t be easy, but the picture quality is amazing and once you crack it, you’ll be happy with the decision.

but don’t for a second think that because a dslr is smaller it is more practical. the amount of gear you’ll have to take with you for it to match the capabilities of a comcorder will negate the size advantage that it has.

    Thanks Steve!
