Update- I don’t know what timecode it is searching for. What I thought it was searching for was actually the TRT of the clip. The capture tool is simply rewinding as far as it can go, then saying that it can’t find the timecode even though it’s flying right by the timecode listed on the clip.

  • Thank you for your response. I am into the thick of this project now and have a slew of issues to deal with. I think I can handle most of them, but one is driving me crazy:
When this project was last worked on, the media was backed up (OMF and MXF), but apparently the project file was never properly saved. SO, I have all this media and no project file to go with it. I would like to either bring the media into Avid and export AAF for FCP, or I would like to bring it straight to FCP. Duck seems to allow me to bring them into FCP- but only one file at a time! And Avid refuses to import the media. What am I missing here? I know the sequences will be gone, but I’m hoping I can recover the already captured media and maybe even batch re-capture it in HD.

    Motion Project is
    DVCPRO HD 720p60
    960×720
    8 bit
Frame blending is on, the others are not
Render is normal at half resolution

I didn’t know you could use compressor, I’ll give it a shot. Does my hardware seem like it should be able to handle this load?

No good. It’s not my timeline that is the problem, I can make that as long or short as I want. It’s the clip created from the vanishing point filter. I’m able to animate it the way I want, but can’t get to last longer than one second.
