Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any solutions from the Avid boards. I probably synced manually. If you do find a solution, I’d be curious to know what you find. Good luck!

    Hi Jeremy,

This was a few years ago, and unfortunately I don’t remember what I ended up doing. Since this was just a fraction of my media that wouldn’t go back to Avid, it’s possible that I ended up doing an unpleasant workaround, like manually syncing the problem media. (Since I don’t recall a solution, this is possible.) If you are dealing with a lot of footage, this may not be particularly helpful to you. I’ll look into my e-mail history and see if maybe if I got some helpful information on an Avid forum.

Is your problem media from the same source/camera as the media that exported successfully? I believe the transcodes that I had problems with were converted from 23.98 to 29.97.

Thanks. Does Avid also supply a countdown, or will I have to find this element elsewhere?

Thanks, Shane. So far I imported into a 1080p/23.98 project and opened the bin in my 29.97 project. The media plays and *looks* OK to me so far. At any rate, the mixed frame rates weren’t my error, so if the look isn’t perfect, well, at least the producers will know it wasn’t my error.

Ah, *prior* to version 8.4. I misread that. Clearly, I just worked a 12 hour day. For that matter, I think I answered your question incorrectly. The project is 1080p/29.97…

Thanks for the reply, Shane. Yes, the project is 29.97. Unfortunately, I’m cutting on version 7.0.3. Am I to take it that importing on a 23.98 project will not work? What other options are available? Can I do the frame rate conversion on a third party software?
