I think you’re going to have to give more information about your problem, and the process you’re going through so that people can help you.
Are you combining three After Effects projects into one ? Or just trying to put three videos together and render just one video ?
How did you set up the render parameters ?

I would say use a black Solid layer in which you create a circle mask that you animate.

1) Go to Layer Menu and choose New > Solid > Black

2) Select the layer in the composition, and then select the Ellipse tool (left of the Pen Tool, where you see a rectangle)

3) Go to the first frame, where you want the circle big, and clic and drag the Ellipse tool in the view, it’ll create a circle, the size you want.

4)Uncollapse the Solid layer, and its Mask layer, and clic on the stopwatch for the Mask Path : that way, you create the first key of animation).

5)Now go to the frame where you want your circle animation to end (full black), and rescale the circle (double clic on circle) until it’s just a dot and your screen is completely black. (it automatically creates the new key)

Then, you may just have to shift the positions of the circle (just select it and shift it) or its scales (make sure the Current Time Indicator is on the keyframes).

Hi Olly,

I don’t know if I’ll give you the best advice, but here’s a suggestion for your question #1 :
If the two cups are the same color, then I think you can simply stack your two layers up and go through the various blending modes. You should find one that melts your two words and keeps the mug color.

If the text is darker than the mug, then try the “Darker color” mode for instance.

As for your question #2, sounds like you’ll have to do a tracking of the phone.
Use the Tracker and activate “position”, “rotation” and “scale”, and set your current composition as the target in “Edit target”.
That way, the composition will get the camera move information, and, if done right, will follow the phone’s position and scale.
