November 4, 2009 at 11:35 am in reply to: Vegas Pro 9, still having problems with AVCHD rendering at 1080i…Downloaded the 64bit 9.0c version. I’m running with win7 64bit RC since the beginning of this thread (will eventually exchange my Vista for the real win7 soon).
Anyways, I did a complete uninstall of the 9.0b, then installed the 9.0c (just to be sure).
Just rendered one file, and…well, still will have to use TsMuxer.…sigh…

October 5, 2009 at 8:24 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 9, still having problems with AVCHD rendering at 1080i…Hey Pawel,
Sony didn’t release a 9.0c, so the problem is still there.
But Oliver did find a fix for that. And a simple and quick one!
I don’t use Mainconcept AVC. I render all my files as m2ts with sony AVC (so that I can keep the 5.1 sound).
When it’s rendered, just launch tsMuxerGUI, there is no installation needed for this program, just run it from the folder.
Then, it’s pretty straightforward. You add your m2ts file to the input files. Then you select your output: m2ts and you browse to the location where you file should be saved.
then press Start muxing, and you get your files perfectly synched.Hope that helps.

August 31, 2009 at 2:35 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 9, still having problems with AVCHD rendering at 1080i…I didn’t change or select the “change fps” box. Just left it unchecked.
I tried checking some other boxes, and all the time the file came out with no problem. So I suppose the solution is somewhere internal to the tsmuxer software.I checked with media info (same thing as Gspot) to see if there are changes between the bad original file, and the good tsmuxered file, but didn’t see any differences in their detailed properties.
So I hope that Sony will give some explanation when they fix the problem.

August 31, 2009 at 1:01 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 9, still having problems with AVCHD rendering at 1080i…Putain!! That is brilliant.
The file came out cleaned of problems. On my laptop as well as on my TV!Like a clean and proper avchd file.
I get the exact same message (with the H.264 muxing fps not set)from the muxer when it’s working the file.
I didn’t force any fps change or any level change, and the output file is still working.
Just for test purposes, I run that already modified file again in tsmuxer to see it the same message would appear (H.264 muxing fps not set), and it does.
So go figure, but anyway, the result is that tsmuxer makes the file playable.
Congrats for doing that. That definitely brought a big step forward, well basically solved the problem 🙂
I hope Vegas is going to get an ftp site so you can still upload the not working file. It’d be nice to have a fix for that extra step.Etienne
P.S nice little software that tsmuxer… -

August 30, 2009 at 12:01 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 9, still having problems with AVCHD rendering at 1080i…I forgot to mention…
I would have put mine, but I can seam to get a file under 130MB and my orange account is limited to 100MB (lame, Iknow)
So if you have a 80MB file, that saves me a lot of time trying to get a smaller file.

August 30, 2009 at 11:56 am in reply to: Vegas Pro 9, still having problems with AVCHD rendering at 1080i…No, I didn’t manage to do a file that small.
I suppose they only want a small file so that they can receive it by email. How about we put it on a webpage available for them to download?
I have an orange webpage that I don’t use, and were I could make the file available for download. It’s very easy to do.
You only need to send it to me. This can be done also quite easily with gmx. gmx is an advanced (free) email service, that also offers a 1gb space storage (I’m actually considering switching from gmail to gmx).
Since all the details are of no use to the forum, I suggest you send me an email to this address: vegastest@gmx.com
from there I can give you the usrname/pass to upload your file on the gmx account(simply by using your IE or firefox, no added program to install whatsoever). Then I’ll put it online and give you the url.
Of course, it won’t be protected, and anyone will be able to see your video if they surf that webpage. If you’re ok with that, we can do it and just send the link to vegas team to download the file.
…because I don’t know how it’s possible to make such a small 10mb file…
Tell me what you think.Etienne

I didn’t try as many different formats as before though, don’t have the courage spending as much effort as before since I feel it’s not gonna be worth it.

August 9, 2009 at 5:41 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 9, still having problems with AVCHD rendering at 1080i…I installed SVpro9a on my vista32bit, win7 64bit (right after a fresh install) on the same laptop, and also on my older laptop running XP.
All delivered files out of sync. However it works when:
-there is no audio
-I use the bluray video stream (so again, no audio)
-if I render using mainconcept mp4 (not sony avchd) with the audio, but I then loose the 5.1 audio (and I’m not really willing going down the path of demuxing remuxing with another program)It ALSO kindof works with sony AVCHD codec when
-I forced the entire video to be recompressed, for example by adding an effect to the whole video length.
Then it plays well on my computer but NOT on the TV with the USB key where the problem appears again. (The original files plays well on the USB key, and I’m sure the project settigns are good).
For that last particular example, is it the same for you?So I can see two problems:
-the vegas ability to render without recompressing the frames messes up the audio sync when using avchd (and I think this not recompressing for avchd feature is new to vegas pro 9)
-when the entire movie is re-encoded, windows media player is somehow able to run it smoothly but some other devices might not (for example the sony bravia TVs…which btw only decodes mpeg1 and avchd from the USB port!!)Etienne
