  • Hey P! I actually just purchased Motion5 and will start right away, actually today! I am hoping that you can copy and paste keyframes! Can you also hold keyframes? and what do you mean with roundtripping?

    thks P!!

  • Thanks J, I didn’t want to do that…But I can see is the only solution! Definitely keyframing is not at all a good feature in FCPX…thanks for talking your time to answer.

  • Thanks Bret, it just doesn’t really make sense..not putting this function with keyframes..can’t believe they didn’t. Unbelievable!

  • I already know what a hold is…I am asking how to hold a keyframe for a long time until I change the value. I am asking if it is somewhere in FCPX and I am not seeing it, like you do in After Effects in a second.
I know what a hold is, thank you.

  • Hello! I was reading this post because I need to HOLD some keyframes and can’t find the way to do it! 🙁
I read that you right click the keyframe in the video inspector window, but i don’t have a right click and can’t find a way to do it, not even control click or anything….I also tried doing it in the video animation tab in teh timeline…nothing.
can anyone tell me how to? can’t find it anywhere….so frustrating!

    thank you all!

    Hi Bill,
after I have done the shape I want, I need to fill in the shapes with the exact color the client wants. I am trying to figure out how to use a specific color in FCPX; I need for instance Red 208, but when I try to pick a red, the only values that is giving me is from 0 to 1.00 (?)in the generator window.

When i double click on the “fill color” square, the window with COLOR sliders appears, but when I put my 208 value in red, it find it, but the color of my generated shape doesn’t change, the window really doesn’t do anything for me ?? how to make this window color work on my shapes to pick specific COLORS?

    thanks again!!!
    E

    Hi J,
thks for the message. Yes! I am still stuck with this..trying to isolate them (the dancers) so I can put another background underneath them, I need them to be transparent, isolating them form the background.

I have done the cartoon effect to try and isolate them, then tried the rotobrush to get an isolated mask of them, but is not working very well…her dress is almost exactly the same color as the background…trying to avoid to rotoscope the whole scene, it will take me forever 🙁

    more ideas?
