i don’t think ADHD. Seems like a Daniel Tosh wanna be or less harshly just influenced by him.

and its hard to deny that fcp x isn’t imovie pro. same magnetic timeline and same way of how to manipulate things. just with much greater control. but not as much control as previously available in FCP.

No “send to motion” option pretty much has killed the previous work flow I had. I do a lot of green screen shoots and I can still do them in FCP X but liked the extra control provided by Motion previously. I have given FCP X a fair shot, but will now go ahead and give Premiere and After Effects a try again – last used with CS4.

Yeah, it definitely was limiting. But it helped with what I wanted it to do – help me learn a new language so to speak. It’s such a basic set up that its truly a “fundamentals” version of FCP X to me. When I just jumped into FCP X there was a lot of extra stuff I got distracted with. This just cut all that out the equation so I could focus on the core way of editing – still not a fan of the magnetic timeline but at least don’t find it absolutely frustrating anymore either.

And I don’t envy you, doing any type of project that’s more than a home project in iMovie 11 would have to get frustrating. I had issues with text being slightly different when I re-opened a project as well.

  • Yeah, I forget about Ultra being included in CS5 after being on hiatus for CS4. I remember trying to buy Ultra as a stand alone after right after it was bought by Adobe. Was sold out every where. Was impossible to get a hold of. Had it for my PC before it died and I switched over to MAC and loved it.

With that said, I used Motion 4 to do a ton of keying and found it pretty easy as long as things were well lit.
