I am capturing uncompressed 8bit SD

I am using a playback only sony digibeta deck J-30/SDI

the easy setup is the lhi NTSC 8-Bit Uncompressed

but may I also metion that I am having trouble with communication with just the AJA cature application (which has nothing to do with FCP)

sorry…read further and realized that I cannot capture prores.

what drives are in your enclosure?

sorry…I know I’m missing something…why would I buy a Kona LH (that only supports pci-x) that has HD compatibility if I cannot capture HD? (or is it just the prores codec that I cannot capture with?)

also if I can capture HD then what setup would I need? a RAID?

Hi…thanks for your post…I would really like to know what your experience was like as an AE on a reality show. you mentioned that there were 4 editors other than yourself…how was the footage split up between the editors and what was your role? and were there other AE’S? also what type reality show was it? scripted segments…like an MTV type date my rockstar show??? …or a survivor/follow the contestants around type…

Please…any more info would be so helpfull.

also anyone have any insight to weather the big networks are hip to using FCP or if it’s still all AVID? how bout’ smaller networks like MTV?
