Mea culpa for not checking the age of the thread, I had just been trying to figure out where people were finding coupons for our store and this thread came up as a top link.
The Wirecast version can come as .png or .psd version in 1920×1080 or 2560×1620 respectively.
Wirecast actually surprised me a bit; it’s virtual set layering engine is probably the most advanced live compositor I’ve seen. I had something like a dozen layers put together right in the software with an average computer.
That said, the versions we have for wirecast aren’t dissimilar to the versions we sell for Premiere and Final Cut, they’re essentially layered graphic elements, fundamentally the only difference in format options is resolution and file format.
    Thanks,

I just got the Dell 24″ and it is pretty incredible, It’s got a usb hub and card reader which I wasn’t expecting, not to mention it’s big bright and cheap. Now if only I could get my Multibridge to work. I’ve had it since Christmas and haven’t been able to properly install it yet without crashing, system freezes while installing decklink.sys into system32\drivers folder. BMD in Australia has been working with me to get it going for the last week, but for now we are going to RMA it. Hopefully won’t take too long and that will sort things out.

The unit comes with a custom internal to backplane cable, and then there is a cable that plugs into the backplane from the enclosure which hooks into the drives. It does take up a free slot.

I’ll look into that, because I’m having a problem with an 1820a as well that is probably related, whereas if I hook that 8 drives up directly to the motherboard it has no problem with a 3.2Tb partition.
I am using an external array though, I mentioned a few posts up that I’m using a BlueRAID 832 external sata storage which connects 8 internal sata ports to an external enclosure.
Also, my understanding is that the RocketRAIDs work in both Mac and PC systems, they have a menu heading just for Mac but little real information. I did try to put the 1820a in my G4, but couldn’t get it to work and support wasn’t helpful.
I repartitioned the drives into two RAID 5 arrays and got an extra 400Gb out of it but it’s going to take 24 hours to initialize and then who knows how long to fill up to 90% capacity, but I’ll post back here when I get it close.

I got in the 2320 and hooked it up to my BlueRAID and I’m getting 487Mb/s sequential writes, of course the disk is empty though. I do have some issue going on though, I only have 2Tb, not 2.8 as I should losing a disks worth to the RAID 5 parity scheme. I know a few percent is lost to formating but 800Gb is more than reasonable. Otherwise though, the thoughput looks good, especially for RAID 5.

FYI, this unit will connect 8 internal sata ports to a single external box maintaining sata all the way through: https://www.blueraid.com Would work well with the rocketraid 2320 or other internal 8 port sata controllers.

I just set up an 8 drive external sata array using an internal controller and I’m getting 340Mb/s with more like 500Mb/s sequential reads and writes in RAID 0, less in RAID 5 but I’m going to try a new PCIe controller. This is on a PC though (Supermicro H8DCE) and tested using Sandra, so I’m not sure how this compares to the throughput on a Mac. I’ve only done SD with it so far, but I’ll be testing HD with it all next week, I have a motion tracked HD virtual set to do. It would be really nice if that Multibridge Extreme I ordered 4 months ago would show up…
