Hard to say without seeing the picture. What were your bitrates?

Also its important to note that Compressor is somewhat of a “play toy” compared to the encoders used in Studio BD titles. In addition, HDV is a highly compressed HD codec compared to the very high resolution sources used in Hollywood.

Try some experimenting with different bitrates and AVC to see if it helps.

  • There isn’t a tool anywhere which will give you scripting support. The best place to get answers to those questions are on forums such as this.

I didn’t even know DVD Architect had scripting functions….never used it myself but Im sure someone can help.:)

    What was your question?

Also, if its for DVD, include bitrates (CBR or VBR?), type of audio and media used.

I’d go with 6.8 CBR using AC3 audio

Do you want to take a guess how much money and time it would take to develop a BD authoring tool from scratch? Very few clients care about Blu Ray on the grander scale. Your clients may want to very badly….why are you waiting for Apple? There are several available options – even FREE!!!

FCP is a GREAT editing system….period!

Yes…Please answer Eric’s question. And Don’t say Blu Ray!!! 🙂

Thanks Russell!!! It boggles the mind that people are complaining about Apple’s lack of BD authoring.

    I agree!

What more do you need from DVDSP? Other than BD authoring support(which will never happen) there aren’t alot of changes to be made!

Like Mike said, a spec level version would be great but that would make authoring too difficult for most.
