  • Pretty much solidified the road I was beginning to take with Apple. I’ll never buy another Apple product again.

Its fairly unanimous that the hard hitting FCP editors, here on the Cow, despise X.

I’d really like to here from people Like Walter Murch and the Cohen Brothers on their take.

….and his royal highness, of course, too.

Amazing! Ive been doing nothing but DVD work since the late 90s and there’s no way I’d be able to encode, mux and burn a 4min piece in 4.5 mins. Good work!

Not following your logic. Where’s the 49409 coming from? I prefer to do this longhand but thats just me.

    1. Ran GPRM 1,4

You need to take out the “54” for testing purposes.

  • I’ve been using both Windows and OSX for years and I really prefer Windows. However…..Apple always had FCP suite. It opened the doors to so many people and businesses. DVDSP was a fantastic tool and it helped me start a thriving DVD design business several years ago.

Now this? As long as premier and adobe can keep up or surpass Apple (which they have) I will never buy another Apple product. Apple is a phone manufacturer and media distribution hub now.

    Time to move on!!!

    You’re clearly overreacting.

We all know our workflows are intact. The issue is that we all use a great editing suite day after day and Now that tool is no longer sold or supported IN ANY WAY.

Given the time and money Apple has/had to improve upon FCP, don’t you think this is all a little bizarre ? You don’t? Really?

The guy would be singing a different tune if he actually had deadlines and clients who’s work needs to be finished on a piece of software which is suddenly no longer supported or sold.

What Apple should have done is offer the app under a beta program where we all could offer ways for improvement while still offering Studio.

If they just did this everything would be fine.

Its all a little unnerving….not critical though

Just to be clear, Bitvice is the best encoder you can use on the Mac 🙂
