Im been calling it and will continue to call it!! Apple will NOT be releasing a Blu Ray authoring package anytime in the near future – if at all.
1. Too expensive (haha! dont think it will be included free in any future version of FCS)
2. Small market penetration for the independent producer. How many independent film do you see on BD?
3. its a big bag of hurt 🙂

Apple announced about 5 months ago it wont be including Blu Ray. Maybe things will change change…only Apple knows the answer to that question.

What are you using to author and what kinds of problems are you having?

Thats the way DVDSP abstraction layer has things set up. Put a short 1 sec black in that number 1 position with an end jump to your menu and you should be good to go.

Yes….there will be, depending on the player. Use Sony, PS3 or Panasonic. Test it on the exact player they will have.
You wont find a post house that does HD DVD anymore

DVDSP will author HD DVD but you want to make sure it plays before sending it to someone. Lots of compatibility issues. Dont make HD DVDs. Its a dead format and will never return 🙂
