    Well, I think I’ve managed to get it to work. I took the source file (avi) dropped it into Compressor and trimmed 3 fields from the top and 3 from the bottom. Then the important step is to invert the fields within Compressor (upper first) and export as DVCPro50.

    This seems to work fine and playback well in FCP. Thanks Tom and Arnie for your help and info.

    Yes, The file has to stay centered (can’t do 4/2 crop), and client needs the sequence as 720×480 for processing reasons…so I can’t use 486.

    I’ve tried shifting the fields, but then some text elements appear blurry, while over all the rest of the image looks ok.
