Also, I dont mind using a 3D application (I have Cinema 4D installed and followed a lot of tuts) , but I dont know about having my footage on the actual “tearing paper” and being able to modify it later (the advantage of an unique software to make everything), maybe that the Cineware fonction in AE CC 2015 will allow me to do some of these things, i’ll try to learn how to combine both of them.

I just have one last question : what exact term would you use to describe this effect? Because it’s not shattering, but more like tearing / blowing, It would be usefull to find the appropriate tuts later 🙂

Thank’s for the answer ! But Im looking for something that would be paper like, like tissue with real physics (that was I wanted to use Form, it’s real 3D, so I dont want to simulate only a shattering, but a shattering with pieces interracting on each other, like the end of an old flag, if you see what I want to represent. The shatter effect doesn’t allow me to achieve this :/

You want to hide a randomn frame?
Maybe, <———————-> the clip, so the video will be slower, and you will have all of the frames showing, then you have to delete the chosen frame,and >——-< your clip as it was before.
You have two clips to >——< , so use the same coefficient while “>——<“ing.
I think that it will be better if you : remember the initial time, then make a render of your mid-clip (just <–< your clip so the black frame is replaced) and then, open this clip in a new project and take it to the time you noted – 1 frame duration. = No coefficient.

Im sorry for the “>—–<” and stuff, but i dont know how to say that!
