WHEN IS FCP ACTUALLY GOING TO CREATE FEATURES THAT ARE USEFUL TO OFFLINE EDITORS?

my ignorance is showing. I am a long time film and video editor who has little recent experience digitizing. For this small project I thought I’d handle it myself. If I can use the codecs that you suggest, and it is easy enough to redigitize and conform only the show material, well, that’s what I’d better do. I’d better speak to some assistants about it. Any tutorials that you can recommend?
