  • having not used the CR185 before, i dono if this will work. but I sometimes use the FP33 Mixer wirelessly to a Sony Ex3 with our Sennheiser G3 kit. what i do is have the camera and the mixer output on Mic Level and i had to play around with the transmitters attenuation levels so its not clipping on the transmitter before it gets sent to the camera.

maybe lower the attenuation/mic sensitivity on the transmitter and see if that makes a difference?

have a read of this. it’s a set up someone uses connecting their field mixer to their H4n using an attenuator. maybe this might work for your situation?

i also get this problem with my zoom H4n connected to a AKG blue line hyper running phantom power, when using rechargeable batteries mostly.

if running phantom power on the zoom H4n, make sure u are using alkaline batteries. and if that isn’t the problem you may need to externally provide phantom power to the mic via a field mixer or something

i to have found that problem using the zoom H4 where it slips out of sync about 2 frames per 30 mins, has to do with the internal clock in the h4 not being the same speed as the camera

they managed to fix that problem with the zoom H4n’s and i have not had any sync issues so far with them

what Mark said is how i have fixed the problem in the past
