Something slightly different from what original poster wanted.
For example, I have in a folder these files which are used in a single project:ab.mp4
abc.mp4
abcd.mp4I renamed them like this (they are in the same folder):
ab-2017.mp4
abc-2017.mp4
abcd-2017.mp4When I open their project file I get the obvious promt which asks me what to do for the “missing” files.
Is really easy to right click each of the three of them and choose replace file.
But what to do if there are several files like that already used in a project.
Again, I really needed those files renamed.
And I’m just wondering if there is an easier way to replace those files. -
Hello!
Please tell us some third-party tools.
For example, Replace Media of Vegasaur doesn’t help. With thanks,

Thank you!
Strange thing anyway. Hope they think about it one day.

March 20, 2016 at 1:20 pm in reply to: Automation for saving fx packages from multiple events[Matt Carlson] “Matt Carlson”
[Matt Carlson] ” I guess the question is why do you need to save all of them in this manner? How do you plan on using these saved chains later?”
I reinstalled my windows whitout exporting those filter packages which are stored in Plug-in Manager > Video > FX > Filter Packages.
So, there is a project with a lot of video events. Each one of these events has multiple filters applied. Those were saved in Plug-in Manager > Video > FX > Filter Packages. But now are gone because of my mistake for not exporting them.
Now there’s another project in which I want to use these packages which were used in my previous project. The only way to do this is by re-saving them. Open each event and save its filters in a filter package stored in Plug-In Manager. I cannot use the copy paste atributes because it takes a lot of time to find that event to copy the atributes from. I need to have these packages stored in Plug-in Manager. And my question was if there’s a way to automate the process of saving packages from each video event.Thank you so much for all the replies.

Yes, I have located FX Plugin Presets.
So, if I put those individual saved presets in a chain and save it in Plug-in Manager , then it can be seen and saved by PM. I wonder how it will work after a system reset. Will PM put those presets in that chain in their respective places? Or do I have to save each one of them again to see them there, in Video fx tab? With thanks, Ellen

I didn’t think to find them. I thought Preset Manager can find them. I mean why do I have to find them if I have Preset Manager. Or it can’t do this?

Fx chains “stored” in plugin manager are saved by Preset Manager.
What I also want to save are custom presets found in video fx tab. For example, I make a custom cookie cutter and save it. Then it shows among those default presets. When I backup all presets with Preset Manager, it appears it saves only fx chains found in plugin manager, not those custom presets of individual fx. After reinstalling my system, I use Preset Manager to copy to system what it saved earlier. And those custom video fx presets won’t show up.

Anyone of you have ever tried to use Convolution Kernel to make the image a little touched by a soft painted look?
