It got much close, still starts with the green screen at the beginning of the clip. The audio is there but it’s out of sync.

I suppose I could resync audio manually but I would hate for the clips to have issues later on in the project.

I’m using clipwrap 2.4.3 which has worked well for a while. The MTS files I’m trying to convert to Apple Pro Res are coming out without audio and with a green screen at the beginning of the clip.

Any clue as to why this is happening, is this version too old for some MTS files?

I have 700GB on a 3TB drive. I believe that should be enough.

I trashed preferences but it still gets stuck at 48%, it occasionally opens when it wants to which is the frustrating part. So far an hour is the most time I’ve lost trying to reopen.

I went through each clip and cut all the straggling denoiser filters but that didn’t seem to help.

My only fear is that I uninstall colorista and the problem persists. Then I have to redo all the coloring hoping I don’t run into any more complications along the way.

Damn. I was hoping it wouldn’t come to that. But it’s better than losing my cut altogether.

It’s so strange it just opened for me for the first time in hours right now. I can work on it just fine until I try to copy clips over. The moment I hit command+C the wheel spins and it’s over. I’m almost through with this project is there any danger of corrupting all the project files by continuing to attempt opening different autosaves?

I would love to just finish this up without back tracking all my color work?

    Thanks for your advice btw.

    I’m running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5

Thus far I’ve left Colorista installed, I hesitate to uninstall colorista because of the many adjustments I’ve made throughout the performance. Will I lose these filter adjustments if I uninstall the entire suite?

  • Thanks I will try this. This is going to be on small TV’s in doctor offices on the East Coast.

  • I’m actually not sure, I have to convert from 23.976 to 29.97, 480×272, and the h.264 codec. I’m not sure why the footage looks degraded maybe it is how it’s supposed to be given the specifications. I’m trying to find the best look possible for these specs. Any advice would help.

  • I don’t seem to have the interlace button in video settings within the encoder tab thus no drop down menu either. I’m assuming this is why my footage looks bad when I set the output fields to bottom first. If I compress setting the “output field” to source it looks ok but maybe it could be better.

The client wants the video in 480×272 which are strange dimensions to me. Maybe this can account for the lower quality as well?
