I had the exact same experience with OWC. They are an incredible company and Tim who has been repping them here can be seen making claims all over the net that BRU is being supported and OWC is dedicated to supporting the solution which I still do not question in intention but it has yet to materialize in the year plus these claims have been made. BRU, in my limited experience is a dumpster fire of non functional GUI buttons and slow speeds (YoYotta was almost double the speed on my M1 hardware with their drive). So I respect OWC as a player and the biggest supporter of Mac upgrade and performance minded folks but this particular aspect of their business is a black eye on their product line and service strategy. My Mercury LTO is sitting boxed up next to me as we speak while my Magstor LTO 8 drive purrs along with drivers I found on a clearly worded website. What a revelation.
