Thanks alot for the input.
Well im very broad interested in all aspects of media creation process. And i enjoy the technical part aswell as the creative part. So becoming a technician could be an option aswell as being an artist. Because im broadly interested i might have become to much jack of all trades and this is my inspiration for this question. Strategically i need to have more of a product i can sell. I have the problem mostly that i cant make it quite clear what exactly i do. Cause i have done screen writing, i have done editing, motion graphics, 3d (arch, modeling animation), 2d, logo design, concepting and im very interested in the latest NLE and keeping hardware uptodate & running.
I don’t have the ambition to make the best movie. I like local stuff, and the small bussiness stuff. The problem is people are expecting Disney for 10 cents. But thats another discussion.
Personnally i care the most about my location (and not about the money, im happy with-small)- then the job part so for me the niche is going to be more location based, but im still very interested whats going on internationally in the market. So hence thanks for the input. It will help alot in my research. I never heard of a lot of the things mentioned here, because im in a small market (2 hours driving here is thought of as alot) and my market is the eastern part of the netherlands where right now only 2 respected small businesses have work.
And as said i know networking is the most important skill. I could improve that alot.
Personnaly (my location is the netherlands), i have the feeling it works quite different here to some parts culture based, but i could be wrong. I didnt network here a lot yet. I have to start, but need a good product first. I dont even have a good showreel yet.
Sound is an interesting part maybe. Here it is not used and seen as necessary (its low budgetted) and you can see that shows on TV have poor sound sometimes. Also i got some recommendations about my voice so voiceovering and sound could be a good combo.
If you have more to add what is going to be the most sought after proffesional in the market. Now and in the future, i like to hear.
