How do you feel about a hacked GH1?

Yeah man, I’m going for the GH1 for sure. The cheapest I can find them is around $500. Is that a fair price or should I keep shopping around?

I like where this amount of spending is going haha. I’m pretty comfortable going through the steps to apply a hack like this, but what exactly is it going to give me?

the only reason I’m not is because if I were to go for the t3i, I’d feel stupid not throwing an extra hundred in for the 60D, while the t2i is generally about $300 cheaper than the 60D. It really all comes down to money, and by the time I’m actually ready to buy something maybe the 60D and the t3i will be a little closer to my price range. keeping in mind the expenses of new lenses, audio equipment, memory sticks, ect.

Thanks a lot man. I was looking at 2Ti because they’re a good deal cheaper than the 60D, and the GH2. Just remember that this is my first camera I’m buying so I don’t really need the best of the best. Also, I’m broke… I talked to a few people who work at B&H (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/), and I was pointed in the direction of the 2Ti. Refurbished, with the kit lens its $640.

Would this be an awful camera for me to start with?

Keep in mind that I would almost solely be using this camera to shoot videos with. Really the cameras still photo capabilities that don’t cross over into shooting video are unimportant to me.

Thanks a lot man. So I could probably get most of the essentials for about $2,000 if I went with the 20D?
