This method sounds good. Maybe I should clarify exaclty what I am trying to do, I am creating a short film (3D animation) and I will be creating a 2 disc DVD. The first will be a normal viewing mode and the second disc will be a 3D viewing mode which can be viewed with ChromaDepth 3D glasses. With chromadepth closer objects must be red, further ones blue or black and the rest in between according to the order of colours in the rainbow. I was hoping to utilise the Z-Depth information with my 3D animations to achieve this look (so closer objects are red and further ones are dark blue) so I’ll see how it goes.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

When I copied the first expression into the camera position it didn’t accept it and a window came up saying:

“After Effects warning: Class ‘Camera’ has no property or method named ‘z’
    Expression disabled.
    Error occured at line 1.
    Comp: ‘Comp 1’
    Layer: 1 (‘Camera 1’)
    Property: ‘Position’ ”

    What should I do?

Also, Is there a way that I can apply the shatter effect, then after about 5 frames ‘freeze’ the shatter effect and then rotate the camera around it?

    Thanks.

Wow! That looks really nice! I am completely new with Trapcode Particular so I was wondering if it would be possible to turn the image you created into a displacement map and use that with Trapcode Particular? If you know how to do this could you go through the steps for me?

    Thanks.
