Dan, I can’t thank you enough. This is exactly what I was looking to accomplish! Thank you for your time and help!

  • Ok. I’m an idiot. I apologize. This has been working all along, but I apparently had only copied the expression to one of my layers, not all of them.

Sorry for making you put forth even more effort than you needed to! And thanks again for all your help! It is very much appreciated!

  • Kevin, again, I really appreciate you taking the time.

I started a new comp and just dropped in your expression to see if it was the slider causing the problem, but I’m still not getting the result I’m looking for (object doesn’t enlarge, only shrinks).

This seems like it would work, from what you’ve shown, but it still isn’t working for me. If it’s working for you, would you mind linking me a file that it’s working in?

    Sorry for the trouble!

  • Thanks for taking the time to look into this.

I tried your solution, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. They are still getting larger… Am I missing something?

I was looking on their site to contact for support regarding the Lite version, but they only list the more featured versions for support. I hit them up on twitter, hopefully I’ll get some help there.

Thanks for trying to lend a hand. I really appreciate it!

The version I have is what was bundled with After Effects CC 2014. In the C4D help, it’s listed as Cinema 4D Lite R16 (16.028 – Build RB113929). It is the very latest, as far as I’m aware. I’ve checked for upgrades as well, just to be safe.

I don’t have a problem with it being import only, as I just need to get the Blender animations into C4D.

I appreciate you taking the time to look into this.

I tried using FBX 7.4 and FBX 6.1. But upon attempting to import any FBX into Cinema 4D Lite, it gives the error: “Unable to read file: filename”. Are you using Cinema 4D Lite, or is it a full release of Cinema?

Thanks for checking into it. I apologize, apparently I uploaded the wrong file. Here is the proper link: https://dwdigitaldesign.com/duderigged.blend

    It is a short animation.
