I have been plagued by this same issue on my mac for the last year.

I also use an aja io xt and sure enough when I turned it off. The issue completely went away.

That will not work for me as I need to deliver all 1000 plus clips to the client clean. They will be editing the footage. We shot the footage but they will be editing it. I need to deliver clean footage to them and the clips need to remain separate, not just one big clip in a timeline. Thank you for the suggestion but I really need a way to edit clips and keep them all separate without exporting a thousand plus times.
